Question : problem in autheticating SQL reporting services...urgent....
|
|
Hi,
Recently, I was given an application, and then asked to work on reports in SQL reporting services. WEll, I folowed the steps given by Ms as it is in the guidelines and installed the application successfully ( I think so for now atleast).
Now, when I try to access the application over intranet, I get a prompt for authentication and then its failing. when I access the site from the same system, then, Reports folder working fine in default site, atleast I can see the data. But, the ReportServer is not getting displayed. I cant see the contents of Reports folder from the other websites where I mapped it.
Can anyone help me out? Please :(
I should prepare 4 reports by week end, after learning how to work.
And I am sure that I would be popping up many qestins in coming few days.
Thanks in advance

This is a variant of the same problem .. the "anonymous" user or whatever users is used by IIS has to be granted permission to that FOLDER on the hard disk.
so go in to folder properites. and make sure you propagate the permissions to the subdirectories.
