Question : How to change power settings on a PC, and make it effective to all users.

Hello,

we have PC's that multi-users log in to, and we need to change the power settings on that PC. Now, we do know how to do that, but we need to know if there is a way to make it effective to all those users who log in to that PC.
any ideas would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks,

Answer : How to change power settings on a PC, and make it effective to all users.

Ok, that will be easy then. In a domain controller, create an organizational unit and put the computers you want to configure the power options to the organizational unit. Right click the OU and click "Properties". Navigate to the "Policy" tab. Create a new policy and click Edit. In the policy console, go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Power Management. There configure your options and close the console. After first restart of the clients, the power options will be applied for all users.
