Question : vba print to pdf

Hi
I'm trying to find/write a code in vba which does the following:
When you entered (in excel) all info of a customer
and afterwards select the documents (word) which he asked
his informations should be displayed in a textarea (just one) and the document should be pdf'd automaticly.
First off I would like to know: is it possible to pdf a word doc without the word being opened (visible)?
second: will the word and the pdf be saved in a selected folder?
