Question : Outlook 2003 folder list view archive folder error

in folder list view in outlook 2003 there are 2 archive "personal off line folders" stuck.  the user has deleted the pst but did not remove the folder from the list, now when you right click on it and tell it to "close" it will not.

If you open email properties and look at “data files...” the folders are not listed, however if you go to “email accounts” in the “deliver new e-mail to the following location:” and click on the drop down there are the folder names.  How can these be removed from the viewable folders in the folder list view?

I would first try create a new Outlook profile.  Doing so should not bring over any of the .pst file linkings.

As an untested alternative, you could wipe out the Outlook user specific key and subkeys here (MAKE SURE YOU BACK IT UP FIRST!):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook

Im not sure if the second method will be effective or not, but a new profile should do the trick.
