Question : Windows SBS 2008 DCPROMO fails - The Replication Operation Failed to Allocate Memory
Hello all.
I am attempting to add a new SBS 2008 server to a domain that currently has a single Windows 2000 server (non-SBS). Once the migration is done, the old 2000 server will be retired.
I ran the ADPREP tools and cleared all the logs on the old server.
Everything looks like it is about to work, but I get an error at the last second that "Active Directory Domain Service could not install. The Replication operation failed to allocate memory."
Someone else had this problem and the accepted solution was to "continue setup wizard to make it DC.. the icon should be on desktop or you can do it from add/remove programs."
However, I cannot find this "continue setup wizard" ANYWHERE! Is there a command that I can type to manually start it?
Alternatively, if there is no way to start the "continue setup wizard" is there another solution?
Please help!
