Question : Outlook 2003 > managed mapi service catastrophic failure
|
|
When openning outlook 2003 i get the following information box popping up approximately 5 times and then you can work in outlook as normal. Message is sometimes also received when closing outlook.
Message title: managed mapi service catastrophic failure; Body of message: unknown error.
Machine is running windows XP sp1. I have tried running an auto detect repair in outlook which made no difference. I have also uninstalled outlook and then re-installed. Same result. .Net framework was just installed to resolve an error msg that was first coming up when opening outlook with reference to being unable to load/locate the mscoree.dll file. Loading .Net framework resolved that issue but I now have this message coming up. There are no Com add-ins listed and under the add-in manager only an add in for the anti-virus software and Exchange extensions property page are ticked.
Any help appreciated.

Here are some ideas on the rpoblem...
1. I uninstalled the Business Contact Manager and the warning went away. There's obviously a bug in it and I'm working with Microsoft Tech on the problem.
2. If you are using Quick Books Costum Manager, try this link.. http://www.quickbooks.com/support/faqs/docs/customer_mgr_1r2notes.html
Hope it helps...
