Question : Server 2008 - Scheduled Defrag within domain

We are seeking to implement scheduled, monthly defrags within a domain.  I have a great script that defrags all drives once ran on a workstation.  What I want to do is to have all workstations run the script from a shared network location, monthly, at a set time.  I set up a GPO to, under computers, Preferences, control panel, scheduled tasks and did what I believe was to ask the script to be ran from a shared network location montly.  Is this not the proper way to do this?  Once the group policy is applied, should I be able to see it under scheduled tasks, in the individual workstations?  I have the script set up to run using the domain admins credentials.

For whatever reason, the script is not running and I see no trace of a scheduled task on the workstations when I look under scheduled tasks locally.  I would really appreciate some help on this.  All i really need the workstations to do is to run the script, from a network shared location, on a monthtly basis.  I also notcied that I would set up the scheduled task GPO, see the scheduled task in the Group policy editor and after the scheduled time for its execution, the scheduled task removed itself.. leaving the scheduled task GPO blank.  I need to ensure that this happens every month.

Thank you in advance.
