Question : Changing Default Calendar in Outlook 2007

Hi All,

I have a user who currently has two mail files. One a brand new mailfile that has been created in the last month, and the other an overally large mailbox which was borderline crashing.

Now after creating a new mail file and and adding the old mailfile back into the database it is still adding new calendar items into the old mail file's calendar.

Is there a way to change it so that the other calendar can be used? so we don't have to use the old database if possible

I'm just heading out, but I'm thinking a couple options without looking into it further:

1.  only use the old files as archive.  Save it the .pst to another folder/directory and access it via 'archive', delete the old (or disable) the old profile.

2. Or...looking at merging the two profiles into a new one (though if one is really corrupt, you may wish to avoid this (making me think it is best to just use it as an archive).

3.   Maybe re-create the new profile and see if it is possible to do it via backup/restore ... again, if it was corrupt...probably not the best option:
