We have upgraded the Virus software, and ensured that the file permissions were set correctly. We are running Terminal server with the data on a separate file server. Both are on the same subnet, and segment. This is sporadic, approximately 2-3 files per week. We have 4 Terminal Servers, all running Win2K with Citrix XP.

Jim,
Since it's only sporadic it's very hard to track it down although I suspect that the AV-software may cause it.
Have a look on the additional KB-file: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q102888/
Do You use the latest SP for Excel 97? Is it the same files or different files that are involved when the message appear?
