Question : Windows SharePoint Services Search Required on Farm, not running Stopping

HI,
i have a problem with SharePoint Services search were is says it is Stopping in the Central Admin. The Services have start and are running in Windows 2003 x64.
The event log as the following error:-
Event Type:      Error
Event Source:      Windows SharePoint Services 3
Event Category:      Topology
Event ID:      8214
The description for Event ID ( 8214 ) in Source ( Windows SharePoint Services 3 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer

nothing has changed on the Windows Server since applying Microsoft patches...but the Service us up to date with patches.
Any assistance would be appreciated  

Answer : Windows SharePoint Services Search Required on Farm, not running Stopping

The solutions was to remove & reinstall Sharepoint and then attach the database
