Question : Warning when changing a single instance of a recurring OCS Live Meeting

We are using OCS 2007 R2, Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2003

Consider this situation: A user creates a recurring OCS Live Meeting in their Outlook Calendar and wants to change the time for one instance.

If they go into Outlook calendar and select "Open this occurrence", the following warning message is displayed "Modifications to this instance will not be reflected on the Office Communications Server. If you would like to modify the conference on the Office Communications  Server open the series

It does change the time for this instance and all the other occurrences keep the original time.
However, are there any adverse consequence of doing this? If so, what should be the correct process for changing the time on a single imstance of a recurring meeting?

Answer : Warning when changing a single instance of a recurring OCS Live Meeting

This is the feedback i received from Microsoft

Actually this warning is used to let the users know the information and provide the confirmation for the user. There is no negative impact and it is the correct process to change the time for the single instance of the recurring meeting. So please do not worry about that. Actually we received several reports about this and we already reported to the production team. They are considering this. Maybe in the next release of the product, this information message will be removed.
