Question : hp laserjet IIID drivers request
|
|
Hi,
I need the following files so that my printer can work under Windows 98:
MSPRINT3.CAT ICONLIB.DLL UNIDRV.DLL HPPCL5MS.DRV FINSTALL.HLP UNIDRV.HLP
The computer I bought privately didn't have the disk with it (Windows 98) and I have recently aquired this printer from my late uncle. I'd appreciate it if you could send me the files if you have them. My email address is [email protected]
Alternatively if there is a site you are aware of that offer these files that would be better. I have already tried the HP site but it requires an AutoCad file of some sort (whatever that means).
Thanks Tim

It appears you can download it from here!

Description: There are two subsets within each category of graphics driver: old-model drivers and minidrivers. Microsoft supports and strongly encourages the development of minidrivers for graphics devices. A display minidriver is a graphics driver that uses the Microsoft device independent bitmap (DIB) engine to accomplish most or all of actual drawing. For display minidrivers, most of the thirty or so required functions call directly into the DIB engine. For printer minidrivers, even less coding is required. Printer-driver developers use the Microsoft Windows UniTool application to initialize required structures and rely on a second Microsoft-supplied DLL, UNIDRV.DLL, to make calls into the DIB engine. Dave timjc: Barsmit is part of the team at E-E and is only looking out for the site like us all, please understand that! He is correct in that we all have to judge if we think some incorrect act is being performed at this site and we all report those instances! :>)
