Question : Not receiving active alert messages in the SCOM 2007 Operations Console

Hi,

I noticed today that I'm not able to receive any alert messages in SCOM 2007 anymore. I logged into the Operations Manager Console and checked the active alerts section but it's blank! I also noticed that the Web Console is also malfunctioning I attached a print screen. I tried rebooting the SCOM system but this has not resolved the issue. I also noticed from the Operations Console the RMS Server is showing up as "not monitored" rather than grey.

Answer : Not receiving active alert messages in the SCOM 2007 Operations Console

is there any chance that you put your RMS into maintenance mode at some point?  This is something you shouldn't really do and can cause this sort of issue.

You could try opening the console (obviously not the web one since that's not functional) and putting your RMS into and then taking it out of maintenance mode.

If that isn't the problem, can you also try restarting all of the Operations Manager services on your RMS and have a look at what warning/error events are showing up in the OperationsManager event log after you restart the services.  You might have a problem with your action or sdk account.

(Please confirm also your version - it looks like SP1 but would like confirmation).
