Question : " can't move the items. the file  path\filename.pst could not be accessed Outlook 2003 Under XP

Hello!

One of my users has a problem in moving emails from his sent items folder to an archived inbox subfolder he has created MAY 07 sent items.This is stored on the network. The message he is getting is:-

" can't move the items. the file  path\filename.pst could not be accessed

Its Outlook 2003 under XP SP2. The strange thing is that he can move emails from his own inbox to the desired folder on the network. Also the user has done this before, as he basically goes into a procedure of setting up monthly folders on the networked archive folders eg Feb Sent Items, March Sent Items, and for legal purposes has to save sent items so copies them from his sent items folder which I believe is stored locally on the C  drive to the archived subfolders reprsenting the current month

Any ideas?

Dragging and dropping emails over the network may not work.  You may need to export the messages to the folder.  Go to File > Export.
