Question : Dell Latitude D630 - battery is not recognized in Windows or BIOS

I have a D620 that the battery is just not recognized by Windows or in the BIOS.  I have tried 3 different batteries from other identical laptops and they all do the same thing.  Furthermore, the indicators on the battery itself show that the batteries are fully charged.  I have checked the battery leads on the laptop and none of the pins are bent and the batteries seem to make a good solid connection when attached.  Thoughts?

I would suggest buying a new battery from Dell or a reputable vendor.  I have a D630 and found out the hard way that the battery tends to die after about 16 - 18 months.  In the end the battery would show the status as charged, but wouldn't keep the laptop powered up for any time when unplugged.

I replaced my battery and everything works fine now.
