Question : Outlook 2007 keeps asking for password from SBS 2008 Exchange Server

Hi Guys,

Hoping you can help with this issue.

Since the last SBS 2008 updates a few days ago, as per the below pictures, we are getting the following password prompts every time we run Outlook ( after a reboot ).

The interesting thing is, it is wanting to connect to 'remote'.domainname etc . . . when as far as we are aware, we don't have this setup.

We have tried to enter the username the following ways :

username@domain name.local
domain name.local\username

and it still keeps on bringing up the prompt, but oddly, still connects to Exchange and sync's the folders.

Please see below for screen shots with Outlook 2007 Settings.

Hoping you can help, thanks so much in advance !

Cheers - Troy

Answer : Outlook 2007 keeps asking for password from SBS 2008 Exchange Server

There have been numerous posts where Outlook 2007, with SBS 2008, keeps prompting for passwords. The following link suggests the problem is due to server updates, and installing Exchange rollup 9 resolves the issue. Perhaps your situation is similar. Details on the posters issue can be found on the previous page of the thread.
