Question : MOSS and XLSX

Server 2003
MOSS 2007
Office 2007

I am having issues where xlsx files cannot be opened unless the user logs into the site.  Anon users are getting:
You do not have permissions....
Make sure the file is in an Excel Services trusted location...

XLS files open for anon user's fine.

I was told that this is a quirk in MOSS and the work around was to have users save files in the XLS format.  Has this issue been resolved or was the information I was told incorrect and there is a work around?

Answer : MOSS and XLSX

yep that is because xlsx files want to be open with excel services.

try this.  for the anon peice you can do it for yoruself as well.  this should turn off the execel services opening the xlsx

opn excel, hit the windows thing then publish, then excel services, then uncheck open in excel services and see if that helps
