Question : Dynamics CRM 4.0 Edit an active contract

Is there a way to allow a user to Edit and Active Contract in CRM 4.0

It would be handy to have changeable information on those contracts.

Afraid not. Once a contract is invoiced and the start date has passed it becomes active and read-only.
