Question : Tools to replicate from SQL server 2000 to SQL server 2008
I am planning to move the database to support our website to a hosting company. They are only running 2008. We use 2000 internally. I am able to connect via Enterprise manager to the external 2008 database. However, enterprise manager doesn't support replication to the 2008 edition. It would appear that I need to use the 2008 tools to setup and manage the replication. The studio express edition doesn't appear to support replication. Do I need to purchase SQL server 2008 to get my hands on SSMS? Is this what I need?
Thanks,
