Question : Access Denied to Config Database
I had an issue the other day with my MOSS server so i re-configured it. Now when i try to connect to the Config DB, i get the following error:
-Openning configdb so that I can join it at server xxxsql2005 database 3.0_SharePoint_Config in farm mode
-Now joining to farm at server xxxsql2005 database 3.0_SharePoint_Config
-Task configdb has failed with an unknown exception
-Exception: System.Security.SecurityEx
ception: Access denied.
Now i know that this is a denied error probably coming from the xxxsql2005 server, however the user that is the DBO on the database is a domain user and is not locked and the password is input correctly. How can i re-attach to my farm, or just re-configure and pull the original 3.0_SharePoint_Content database?
Answer : Access Denied to Config Database
I had forgotton to upgrade MOSS to SP1. This solved the problem.
