Question : Dropdowns in grid view 'edit item template' not working

I have a gridview that displays information on a page.  I have added some templated dropdowns to the edit item template.  I am getting an error page that states, "'ddStatus' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items.
Parameter name: value".  

I have attached a copy of the code/update sp that runs the gridview.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here?

I have evaluated some of their units in the past and they have customer service.  I never tested the audio but I know you can get support and an answer from them.  Likely cost as much or more for the DVR alone as you would pay for the whole ebay package you linked.

Lorex also have some low cost units that might do the job,
