Question : How do I configure Outlook Anywhere on Exchange 2010 RC1, single server installation?

I recently installed Exchange 2010 RC1 on a Windows 2008 Server with AD installed.  I have followed the instructions for enabling Outlook Anywhere, but I am unable to connect to the server over an https connection.  I have disabled IPv6 in the registry according to an MS support article and I have added the necessary RPC Proxy Listening hostnames / ports, but when I attempt to connect to the server using RPC over HTTP, it only connects with TCP/IP.  I have successfully configured Outlook Anywhere on a separate Windows 2008 / Exchange 2007 server.  Any suggestions as to how I can troubleshoot and resolve this issue?

If you have allowed autodiscover to configure the setting, then Outlook will only connect on TCP/IP if it can. That is by design. HTTPS is the failover.
Is the server exposed to the internet? If so then you can test it with the Microsoft test site. https://testexchangeconnectivity.com/

This feature either works, or it doesn't. No middle ground.

Simon.
