Question : Problem with Backup Configuration Wizard in SBS 2003 - "An unexpected error occurred (80070057). The parameter is incorrect"

Hi!

I have problem trying to configure the backup using the configuration wizard in SBS 2003. Error is as above. I've found little about this on the web except for some suggestion of a COM problem. Unfortunately I can find no resolution. Can anyone suggest a fix?

Error info:

Log output from the configuration wizard:

Answer : Problem with Backup Configuration Wizard in SBS 2003 - "An unexpected error occurred (80070057). The parameter is incorrect"

Since I've missed you before going on break, I'll leave this...

At this point it's probably best to REINSTALL the administrative tools for your server.  This is done quite easily by logging in as the Administrator (not just a member of the domain admin group), going to add/remove programs > Windows Small Business Server 2003.

On the Components screen, change Server Tools to "maintenance" and change Administrative Tools to "Uninstall".

Go through the wizard, reboot, and then run it again installing the tools.
