Ok.
Certificates for websites are not trusted directly. Instead, the certificate is issued by a certificate authority and you must trust that certificate authority. When you view a certificate, you should see who issued the certificate on the "Certification Path" tab of the certificate.
For example, the site https://www.nwolb.com has a certificate for "www.nwolb.com" which has been issued by "www.verisign.com/...", which has in turn been issued by "VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary CA". Because your computer trusts "VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary CA" it also trusts the other two certificates and thus the website "www.nwolb.com".
You need to make sure that the certificate at the top of the certificate path, in this example "VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary CA" is trusted by your computer. It is this certificate that must be installed, not the certificate for "www.nwolb.com" in the example.
