Question : component services greyed out

Hi,
As local administrator on Windows 2008 r2 I cannot modify most of the DCOM objects in Component Services.
For example IIS W3 Control YES
IIS WAMREG admin Service NO (all tabs are greyed out)
The reason I want to do it is that I receive an error in the Event log saying Local Activation permission are not granted for a DCOM with CLSID {long number}. and this CLSID is also gryed out when I try to modify it.
UAC is set on minimum. I have tried with local admin and with doamin user that is also part of local administrators.

Answer : component services greyed out

To enable the ability of modifying settings of 'CertSrv Request':

1.  Open Register Editor to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AppID\{long numbers}'
2.  Right click the {long numbers} key (AppID of Certsrv Request), choose permission.
3.  Take the ownership to Administrators. Then grant the Administrators 'full control' permission.
4.  Restart the dcomcnfg.
Then you can grant the full control permission to your account.
