Question : Outlook reply icon not always working

Hi

I am running Outlook 2003 SP2, with Exchange 2003 SP2.

Microsoft Office has been fully updated from the MS site.

This morning, I noticed a weird occurence....sometimes, if I reply to a mail, the purple reply icon next to it doesn't appear. Sometimes, it does.

Icon is already added to Fields in Customise Current View, and I have restarted Outlook.

Any ideas?

The replied messages are in my Sent Items, so no problem there.

Answer : Outlook reply icon not always working

Perhaps it might help if the messages that exhibit this behaviour were moved to another folder.  It might be that there are too many messages currently in the folder they are in.  Move the messages to a folder all of their own, then reply and see if it changes.

If that does not work, backup your inbox and sub folders to a PST, then start afresh (i.e. delete all the mails).  Receive a mail, reply to it and see if you still get this bizarre behaviour.  If not, import the previously exported PST to a new folder, say "Old Archive", then try again.  As I said, it is something to do with the mails that are currently in existence, so taking them out of the equation is the logical thing to do.
