Question : Not getting print notification pop up in windows xp

I have a client running Windows XP that is requesting that the print notification pop-up be enabled on their computer for network printing.  This client is printing to a network printer on a Windows 2003 server.

I've set up server properties->advanced->Notify when remote documents are printed.

I've restarted the print spooler service.

This client is still not receiving a notification when print jobs are sent to the printer.

Are you getting ANY ballon tips? Just make sure this is NOT enabled, to start with.....

How do I disable balloon tips in the notification area in Windows XP or Vista?

Actually, if this is a local printer, it should be "Show informational notifications for LOCAL printers".... The other one is for shared printers.....
