Question : Can someone suggest the easiest way to print 1099-R Forms in MS Word

I work in a small office that uses a custom Pension Fund Management system.  I saw that I could get 1099-R Forms from Staples and want to be able to use them for generating our 1099s.  The Pension Fund Management system can export the 1099 data into a csv format which I could use as input for a mail merge.  The problem is how can I setup the tax form in MS Word so the fields will print in the correct places?

For example, if I was generating mailing labels, I would use the Mailing Wizard and choose the labels from the ones offered (i.e. Avery 8836).  The labels would be created and I would enter the field information where I want it to display on the label.  Is there a way to do that with a form so the data will appear on the 1099-R Form in the appropriate places?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked to see if the forms have any printing instructions or templates included? Often the form/label maker will have downloadable templates for doing exactly what you're trying to do. You might find out who makes the forms and check their website.
