Question : RDP Fails to Connect
When I try to Remote Desktop inside of our LAN to a particular desktop, it does not connect. Produces no error. Click on Connect, and it just leaves you at the RDP prompt. If I connect to other RDP hosts, no problem. The problematic target host has TS running as well as any other services that starts with "Remote ...". Plug a working RDP host into the same jack, no problem. Firewall is not turned on. I can not see a difference between it and any other PC, except that it is a Dell. It is running from the same corporate install of XP Prof as other models in our environment though. I can RDP FROM this problem host to another workstation without any problem, although I don't think that lends to helping with this situation.
Any clue as to what else can be causing this?
Answer : RDP Fails to Connect
The link to my last post leads to the solution. It was the video driver with that make / model of Optiplex 755. The PRO is what is needed, even though it by default came from Dell using the other driver.
