Question : logon.exe deleted - need help restoring it
When removing viruses, drweb deleted logon.exe.
Now I cannot boot into windows, it attempts, but kicks me back to the logon screen shortly after displaying the desktop background. ( before the virus was removed, I was able to get into and use windows ( with limited functionallity. )
My question is how can you repair/replace logon.exe (system32 folder)
I think I have to insert the winxp cd ( which i have ) and run a command to extact the file from the cd to the system32 folder, but I cannot remember the command,, anyone ? this should be fairly easy but ill give 500 newayz
Thanks in advance
