Question : New RAM Causing laptop to shut down

I have recently installed some RAM in a laptop and it keeps shutting down now after about 10 minutes. It is the correct memory as i have checked it thoroughly.

Any ideas?

then I suggest the the RAM is incorrect  (or duff) for the laptop - its not a heat issue if it works without the new Ram.
did you run the "scan my system" utility that is on the crucial website?
does the new RAM match the old RAM ?
