Question : Can a Windows 2008 server be promoted to a DC in a Windows 2003 domain ?
We are looking to add a new server on to our domain and looking to purchase Windows 2008 Standard edition. We have other Windows 2003 servers in our domain as well as Exchange 2003 but wondered if we would be able to add this new server and promote it to a DC without affecting anything else ?
If this is possible would we also have to purchase Windows 2008 CAL's ?
Many thanks in advance
