Question : The disk is offline because of policy set by an administrator
Just spun up Hyper-V and five VMs running Wndows Server 2008 R2. Rock solid so far, everythng just works -except- when I plug in my 1TB IOMEGA eSATA drive the O/S sees it but it remains offline. I get:
"The disk is offline because of policy set by an administrator". I have read and read but nowhere can I find how to allow this in group policy or wherever. Please advise. Thanks!
Answer : The disk is offline because of policy set by an administrator
On VMs that are both workgroup and domain I was able to right click on the offline and set the disk to online then right click again and initialize. That solved my problem.
