Hi Experts I have been working on a project for the last couple of months now. I am having the following problem, when I move my DB to another PC, upon opening the DB it keeps on asking me for the following to files. nero "nbcalendar.ocx" and nero "controlls.dll" How do I know if I am using these files in my current DB and how can I work around this so this error does not keep on popping up? nbcalendar.ocx and controlls.dll are obviously 3rd party extensions that are being used by the project you're working on.
what you can do is search your file system (using the file manager/explorer) to locate these files. you can then create an installation package for your database, which includes both of these files.
personally, i use a great little tool called Little Setup Builder (http://www.ammasw.com/), which ensures that any 3rd party OCXs/DLLs are installed on the target system along with the MDB/MDE.
when installing 3rd party controls on different machines, please respect licencing issues.
Regards.
