Question : Uploading image cropping area settings to server side aspx

Hi,

I tried to make an image cropper using http://www.defusion.org.uk/code/javascript-image-cropper-ui-using-prototype-scriptaculous

I have attached my code below.

I want to pass cropping coordinates from Javascript(COORDS) to ASP.NET(cropArea).

But its not working , could anyone please help.

Prabhat - the Cropper is a tool for cropping images. It packages rectangle coordinates (x1,y1,x2,y2) into a JSON object. That is why you got a server-side error when getting a value off the coords field. JSON allows you to convert the object notation into a string, which is then easy to parse server-side. The advantage is that you would only have one hidden input control on the page, instead of 4, as you're doing in your last code snippet.
