Question : i want to "get into" my laptop, secured with a password, that i do not remember
i have a laptop that i've not used in a couple of years (i had other computers to use in the meantime). i want to now use the HP laptop, but cannot 'get into' it because i do not know the password. My goal - is to open the computer and then erase all content. i wish i could reformat but have no CD.

Or download any linux livecd (such as ubuntu) or UBCD4WIN and format the drive from inside the live cd.
