Question : Microsoft Outlook Delayed delivery option- Would like time stamp to show in sent items when email is actually sent and not when its activated

Hi I have a couple co-workers who are using the delayed delivery option with there Microsoft Outlook 2007. They have been complaining that they would like for all the emails they are sending using the delayed delivery option to time stamp in sent items when it's actually sent and not when they activate it.

Example: At 3:00pm they setup a delayed delivery for 9:30pm. When the email sends at 9:00pm, it shows it was sent a 3:00pm when it was set up.

Is there a way to change this so it time stamps when it's actually sent? Not sure if this is possible.

Answer : Microsoft Outlook Delayed delivery option- Would like time stamp to show in sent items when email is actually sent and not when its activated

* Most probably, logically, i guess this is not possible.

* To explain, even though if we set the "delayed" delivery time, the sent time is basically stamped the moment the email is submitted to the Store, that is, at the time when we hit the "Send" button.

* Next the delivery of the email as specified by the Delay setting, would then be processed by the Store and till then the mail sits in the Outbox. But in any case the "Send" operation has already been executed and the email stamped with the time when the "Send" button was actually hit.

Hopefully justified (^_^)
