Question : MDBData Logs??

My 2003 exchange server seems to be building up a large number of mdbdata logs.    In the mdbdata folder there are about 1100 log files, each at 5 mb.   Some are dated from the day that i first started this server in December of 03.    Should these not go away in time, or is that something i need to be deleting?    The machine is running Windows 2003 standard version.  I have read that those should clear out after a backup, but they way that i run a backup is by having a batch file stop the exchange services, back up the files, then restart them.   I dont think by doing the backup this way, it will clear those out.   What should i do about clearing those out?

Answer : MDBData Logs??

you can also play transaction log files into the store database using the eseutil utility with the switch /r. see MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];317014 for more info.
how are you running your backup?
