Question : Replace a terminal services server in Windows Server 2003 OS

I have a terminal services server (Windows Server 2003) that has to be replaced with a new server of the same Windows Server 2003 OS. Do I have to run the deactivate server command on this server being replaced and then the reactivate terminal server command on the new server?

Is this the correct procedure?

Can all of this be done electronically, or do I have to call the Microsoft Clearinghouse to facilitate this switchover?

Answer : Replace a terminal services server in Windows Server 2003 OS

Uninstall terminal services and licensing in old server, install terminal services on new server, enter license and activate - you may have to call MS activation in worst case.
Or you can install terminal services in new server and point it to old servers licensing server - they both will share same license (in case you will leave old server in operation)
