Question : How to Set Up POP Connector on SBS with NEw AT&T Settings

Environment:
SBS 2003 R2 Standard on a Dell server.

Recently, AT&T changed their POP3 settings. Here is what the AT&T tech sent me after I got off the phone.

1. Open your email client program.
2. Locate the email account settings for your particular client.
3. Change the POP server to pop.att.yahoo.com.
4. Change the SMTP server to smtp.att.yahoo.com.
5. Check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL) and change the SMTP port to 465.
6. Check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL) and change the POP3 port to 995.
7. Confirm the above settings then click OK.

When I went into the POP3 Connector to change the settings, I saw nothing related to SSL in there. How do I configure the POP3 Connector to work with these settings?

Answer : How to Set Up POP Connector on SBS with NEw AT&T Settings

There are only two other options:

1)
-Ideal/common option is to:
-enable your server to accept the mail by running the CEICW ( server management | internet and e-mail | connect to the Internet)
-forward port 25 from your router to the SBS
-have whomever manages your external DNS for your domain create a host record for SBSname.Mydomain.abc which points to your public IP
-have whomever manages your external DNS for your domain create an MX record that points mail fro your domain to your host record for SBSname.Mydomain.abc

2) POP the mail directly from the Outlook mail clients. They can then select to have the mail dropped in a local PST account, or their Exchange server account mail box
