Question : Slowness in opening Form!

I have designed my own plotters using Visual FoxPro objects: Shapes, Lines and Labels.

On the report, the user selects how many charts to view and clicks on preview to see the charts. Sometimes there is a delay in opening this new form.

When I plot up to 5 charts the form opens instantaneously. When I put 6 or 7 I sense a delay. When I have 8 or more charts there is extreme delay. If I plot 20 charts and delete the one just plotted before the current one before opening the form so at the end having 1 chart on a very large form, the form opens instantaneously. If I have one chart with way too many items it opens extremely fast.

I am not sure what is causing the delay.

I don't have time to redevelop the plotters using GDI.

Any ideas what is causing the delay?

Have you tried FoxCharts from VFPX.
