Question : Unable to install anti-virus programs, and other programs also

I've been unable to install any anti-virus programs, such as McAfee and Norton.  I have the 2004 McAfee Virus Scan purchased.  I put the disc in, and about 10 seconds into the installment, the program suddenly closes by itself.

Othe programs follow the same way: during the installation process, it suddenly closes about 10 seconds into the installation.

Anyone know what is going on?  I use Ad-aware, and it says nothing is wrong.  Must be a big virus or something...

it could be a virus... just to check it go to

housecall.antivirus.com and run their online scanner. this is just to make sure there are no viruses on the machine.
