Question : Does sysprep completely clean old network, domain and user settings in XP ?
I am going to install a new machine (same HP corporate model D220) based on a previous image, using sysprep. Does sysprep completely clean old settings or are there other steps that are recommended prior to doing a sysprep.
After a sysprep, is the old domain information removed (I'd like to make sure I get as "clean" a machine as possible) ? I noted in the past that existing user local ID's are kept. So that means I have to delete them prior to sysprep;ing. Any other things or way to clear old info?
For example OUtlook Express was created anew, is that the same with outlook?

Yes, Sysprep will do this for you, it will clear the SID, domain,etc... I don't believe they clear the user profiles. It is best to have a clean the system before you sysprep it so that you have a good baseline.
