Question : Migrating from Linux to Exchange 2007

Hello really basic newbie question.

I just finished installing an exchange 2007 server and i tested most the features internally and they work just fine. Now i want it replace our current Linux email server. The current emails are setup to be [email protected] but with the exchange is setup as User@domainname, which is created by default.

What i want to know is how do i setup exchange to send and receive emails externally while using the [email protected] emails so that users don't have to change their email address?

Answer : Migrating from Linux to Exchange 2007

You just need to setup a new Accepted Domain and a Recipient Policy and add this as the default email address, then the emails will come in and go out as [email protected]:

New Recipient Policy - http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/11/16/431531.aspx

New Accepted Domain - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996910(EXCHG.80).aspx
