I have users on a terminal server that connect to Exchange 2007 without using cached mode, (No OST.) and they cant get any results when they use search. (not instant search, the regular kind.) if they connect using cached mode then  it works. but the group policy mandates not to use cache mode. it happens in both Outlook 2003 and 2007. Please help

Answer : Outlook Search will not work when OFF cached mode

Rebuild the indexes.  In EMC, navigate to your Exchange scripts folder. Run the following script on each of your databases.  This can be done while live.

Exchange Scripts folder- .\resetsearchindex.ps1 {DBNAME}

Stops the search service, deletes files, starts service
