Question : Maximum table size
|
|
I have a database with a very large table. It is in its own mdb file, which is now just over 900MB, and growing at about 30MB per week. According to the User's Guide, the maximum table size is 1GB.
Has anyone had experience with tables this large? What will happen - will my database just crash in 3 weeks time, or will it still actually keep working?

Answer : Maximum table size

I have no idea as to the maximum possible size that Access can get to but in a trial we had the database was actually 1.23 GB. at that point it was impposible for us to compact it or for that matter do anything usful with it, it was so slow. (this is with 128MB RAM) To answer your question - NO, it will not crash but you should start looking for a new solution! (see comments!)
